Welcome to the Hoddesdon OGI

Hoddesdon's Olympiadi Gioventu Italiana (OGI)

Founded in 1978 by St. Peter's Italian Club in London, aims to provide young people in Italian communities across the U.K. with the opportunity to participate in a three-day Olympic event, regardless of their abilities. The inaugural OGI Games took place in 1980, attracting numerous teams and spectators, and have been held biennially. Despite a recent decline in the number of participating teams to five, efforts are underway to revive more teams for the 2026 event including the introduction of Hoddesdon who last participated in 1994. The last games were held in 2018 due to the pandemic. OGI held a Summer Friendship Games in June 2025 to build momentum for the main event in 2026.
